About this program
The American Numismatic Society, with support from Carole Anne Menzi Collier, awards the Collier Prize in Ancient Numismatics biennially for the best single- or multi-authored book, catalog, or online digital work on ancient numismatics from 650 BCE to 300 CE. The winning work receives $20,000, divided equally among co-authors when applicable. Eligible submissions must be substantial scholarly works focused on the specified period and subject area; a five-member jury of senior numismatists, including an ANS curator, selects the recipient.
