The David F. Baker Distinguished Research Award

About this program

The Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) offers the David F. Baker Distinguished Research Award to recognize a career of outstanding research whose broad accomplishments have benefited practitioners, organizations, or other researchers; the award is typically conferred annually and is named for David F. Baker, Ph.D. Nominees are judged by the Honors Steering Committee on significance of the research, diligence and innovation, value of accomplishments, and scope and use of results. Eligibility is limited to IISE members, and for joint research the award may be made in all nominees’ names provided at least one nominee is an IISE member. Nominations require a completed form, three recommendation letters (max two pages each), and a nominator’s letter plus CV package with the nomination form limited to 12 pages and the entire packet no more than 18 pages (one page = 500 typed words).
