The Milton and Sonia Greenberg Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award

American University's Center for Faculty Excellence offers the Milton and Sonia Greenberg Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award to recognize and support faculty conducting scholarship of teaching and learning—research-based analyses of teaching practices or curricular design in post-secondary education—with a $3,000 award to one faculty member or shared among a team. Eligible applicants include any faculty teaching during the current academic year (adjuncts, term, and tenure-track; full- or part-time), and both individuals and teams may apply. Applications open online in early spring 2026 for the 2025–2026 award and require a 1–2 page project summary outlining the project overview and significance, methods and IRB status, data analysis and conclusions, implications for teaching, and dissemination/publications; no firm deadline has been posted.
