The Peter Loewenberg Essay Prize In Psychoanalysis and Culture

The Committee on Psychoanalysis and the American Psychoanalytic Association awards the Peter Loewenberg Essay Prize for the best essay on psychoanalytically informed research in the biobehavioral sciences, social sciences, arts, or humanities; the winner receives $1,000, two nights’ accommodation at the APsA National Meeting, up to $550 travel reimbursement, complimentary meeting registration, will present at the National Meeting, and the essay will be reviewed for publication by The Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association. Eligible applicants are authors of original, unpublished essays no longer than 30 pages; submissions must not be under consideration elsewhere. Manuscripts must include a cover sheet with title and author contact while subsequent pages remain anonymous, must be submitted with the completed entry form to Tom Newman/ APsA as specified on the form, and the deadline is listed as September 30.
