About this program
The Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy offers Proposition 1 competitive grants totaling approximately $8.65 million for multi-benefit ecosystem and watershed protection and restoration projects, as well as projects that protect and enhance urban creeks. Funded projects must support at least one California Water Action Plan objective and be located within the Conservancy Zone. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, public agencies, and tribal governments; matching funds are not required, applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, and awards are provided through reimbursement.
