Thomas Hill Scholarships

About this program

The Society of American Foresters’ Thomas Hill Jr. Education and Opportunity Fund provides $1,500 scholarships to support undergraduate students pursuing forestry or related natural resource programs, with funds usable for educational expenses. Applicants must be SAF student members enrolled in a two- or four-year program; two-year students must be entering their second year, while four-year students must be entering their junior or senior year. Applications are due May 15 and must include an online application, recommendation letter, resume or CV, and academic transcript; selection considers academic performance, leadership and service, career goals, and recommendations.
