TMS Frances Parker Grant (formerly Small Research Grant)

About this program

The Micropalaeontological Society (TMS) offers the Frances Parker Grant (formerly the Small Research Grant), providing awards of up to £1,500 to support stand-alone micropalaeontological research (e.g., analytical work, museum visits, fieldwork). Eligibility is restricted to TMS members; funds cannot be used for conference/workshop attendance, cannot be awarded retrospectively, and proposals linked to already-funded projects must justify additional need. Applications must be submitted to the Secretary on the official form with a combined application and CV (CV max. 2 pages) by 31 October; successful applicants are notified after the TMS AGM in November. Recipients must supply a 100-word non-specialist summary when announced, submit a project report within two years, and acknowledge the grant in any resulting publications.
