UNCF Ernest E. Just Life Sciences Initiative

About this program

The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC), in partnership with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), offers the Ernest E. Just Life Sciences Initiative to create Boston-area life sciences internships for students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and other Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). UNCF provides transportation, housing, and wraparound support, while eligible host organizations may seek MLSC reimbursement for intern wages through the Internship Challenge. Applicants must be enrolled at an HBCU or MSI for student placements, and host organizations must meet MLSC Internship Challenge eligibility requirements. Applications are submitted through UNCF’s online application portal.
