Under 26 and Student Fellow Grants

About this program

The Society of Antiquaries of Scotland offers Under 26 and Student Fellow Grants to support archaeological or historical research into Scotland’s past, presentation of Scottish-themed research at conferences, visits to museums or collections, and preparation of material for publication by the Society. Awards are up to £2,000 for research and up to £400 for conference or presentation costs, with two annual closing dates (30 April and 30 November) and decisions communicated by the end of June and the end of January respectively. Eligible applicants are Under 26 or Student Fellows (under 26 years old or current full-time matriculated students); prospective applicants who are not yet Fellows can join via the Society’s Join Us pages (annual subscription £25). Applications must use the Society’s grant application form and be emailed to Dr Helen Spencer at grants@socantscot.org; full terms and the application form are available on the Society website.
