The American Chemical Society (ACS) Petroleum Research Fund offers Undergraduate Research (UR) Grants to support fundamental research in the petroleum field, aiming to engage undergraduate students in advanced research and prepare them for future academic or professional careers. Grants provide $70,000 over 3 years, with at least 40% allocated to student support. Eligibility is limited to regularly-appointed faculty members in non-doctoral departments at non-profit institutions who can supervise undergraduate students, with tenure-track PIs automatically qualifying and non-tenure-track PIs requiring additional documentation. Proposals must focus on fundamental petroleum research and demonstrate a strong educational component for students, with deadlines on March 13, 2025, and September 5, 2025.
