University of Basel Mobility Grants

About this program

The University of Basel, together with the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), funds Mobility Grants to support doctoral researchers in undertaking 6–12 month research stays abroad, with contributions possible for living expenses, a travel lump sum and conference costs. Awards are open to all disciplines, evaluated by the University of Basel Junior Researchers Committee, and the earliest start date is three months after submission. Applicants must be matriculated doctoral students for at least 12 months and not already funded by the SNSF; recurring submission deadlines are 1 March and 1 September (contact: Mariafranca Tassielli, Doc.Mobility@unibas).
