The California Department of Fish and Wildlife offers Upland Game Bird Account grants to fund habitat conservation, land acquisition, species-benefit projects, and expanded public hunting opportunities in California. Approximately $400,000 is available from revenues generated by upland game bird hunting validations and stamps, with funding provided through reimbursement and no matching funds required. Eligible applicants include individuals, nonprofits, public agencies, universities, and California Native American tribes, and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
