Varro E. Tyler Prize

About this program

The American Society of Pharmacognosy offers the Varro E. Tyler Prize to recognize outstanding scientific contributions to dietary supplements, particularly in phytochemistry, pharmacognosy, pharmacology, and related botanical research. The award includes a $5,000 monetary prize, an engraved plaque, and travel expenses to the presentation meeting. Nominees may be of any nationality and do not need to be ASP members, but recipients must attend the annual or interim ASP meeting in person. Applications are due February 15 and must include a contribution letter, detailed curriculum vitae with publications, and up to two supporting letters.
