Warren Samuels Prize (best paper presented at January ASSA meetings)

The Association for Social Economics awards the Warren Samuels Prize to the paper scheduled for presentation at the January ASSA meetings that best exemplifies high‑quality scholarship important to social economics and with broad interdisciplinary appeal, with preference (but not requirement) for papers in ASE‑sponsored sessions. Eligible applicants are authors of papers scheduled at the January ASSA (AEA) meetings; submissions are solicited in the summer and fall preceding the meetings and must be received by mid‑December, and papers should normally not exceed 9,000 words (inclusive of references and notes). The winner receives a $500 stipend, will be announced at the ASE presidential breakfast, and is encouraged to submit the paper to the Review of Social Economy; ASE and the Review affirm commitments to diversity and inclusion.
