About this program

The Wilkes Center for Climate Science & Policy at the University of Utah offers two-year postdoctoral fellowships for cutting-edge research advancing climate science and policy, including climate forecasting, wildfire and climate extremes, climate impacts, and mitigation or adaptation tools. Fellows receive a $64,000 annual salary, benefits, relocation support, and funding for scientific travel and other research costs. Applicants must be recent PhD graduates whose research aligns with the Center’s goals and must identify and communicate with one or two University of Utah faculty sponsors before applying. Applications are due January 31, 2026, with references due February 16, 2026.
