Women in Neuroanesthesiology and Neuroscience Education and Research (WINNER) Award

SNACC's Women in Neuroanesthesiology and Neuroscience Education and Research (WINNER) Award recognizes women SNACC members who have made major contributions to perioperative neuroscience through excellence in mentoring and who will mentor the next generation, with an emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion; the award is a recognition/mentorship honor (no monetary amount specified). Eligible nominees are women with at least 10 years of active SNACC membership and a documented record of mentoring excellence and commitment to mentoring women across research, education, or other professional activities. Nominations must be submitted by active SNACC members and include a brief biographic sketch, a minimum two‑paragraph statement of the nominee’s credentials, and two letters of support from current or past mentees (mentees need not be SNACC members or anesthesiologists). Awardees are expected to actively participate in the WINNER program and provide mentorship to SNACC members, including those at other institutions.
