World Citizen Prizes in Environmental Performance

About this program

APPAM's World Citizen Prize in Environmental Performance, funded by David and Joy K. Peyton, recognizes research that identifies pathways to achieve measurable but unrealized improvements in overall environmental performance—especially efforts to reduce consumption and waste—and is presented at the APPAM Annual Fall Research Conference with a $2,500 cash award, up to $500 travel support, a plaque, and formal recognition. Eligible work may be based in the United States or other countries and includes published research, master's theses, PhD dissertations, books, or a coherent body of work addressing natural resources, energy, pollution, conservation, climate change, sustainability, and related environmental policy topics. Nominations are submitted to the APPAM office and selected by a review committee; nomination packages must include the nominee's CV, an application letter explaining the nomination, up to three research products or links, and a recommendation letter. APPAM is accepting nominations through Thursday, July 9.
