World Reef Award

About this program

The International Coral Reef Society offers the annual World Reef Award to recognize outstanding coral reef research by individuals from under-represented demographic groups, including those defined by geography, social group, gender, or background. The single award includes a certificate, a US$2,500 research prize, an invitation to present at the next ICRS symposium, and an opportunity to contribute to Reef Encounters. Applicants must be within 15 years of receiving their PhD; ICRS membership and service are not required. Nominations are due February 15, and recipients may also be considered separately for ICRS Fellow status.
