Wright Regional CCTS Translational Science Pilot Grant

About this program

Wright Regional CCTS offers Translational Science Pilot Grants of $25,000 for a 12-month period (May 1–April 30) to fund preliminary translational research that develops generalizable processes, rigorous methods, and pilot data to support competitive extramural submissions. Eligible applicants are full‑time tenure‑ or non‑tenure‑track faculty employed by Wright Regional CCTS academic partners; new investigators may be PIs on up to two internal awards within four years, senior faculty on one award every four years, and each investigator may submit only one PI application per cycle. Awards cover direct costs only (e.g., supplies, patient stipends, equipment, shared resource fees, and project-specific personnel) and exclude faculty salary, travel, publication fees, remodeling, and patient hospital/visit costs; funds cannot be used to continue or renew previously funded projects. Applications are due electronically via REDCap by 5:00 PM on November 1 (next working day if a holiday/weekend), and recipients must provide semiannual progress reports, a final report within one month of project end, and annual outcome tracking for five years.
