Wyoming Water Research Program (WRP) - Research Grants

About this program

The Wyoming Water Research Program (WRP), administered by the University of Wyoming in partnership with the Wyoming Water Development Commission and the USGS as part of the National Institutes of Water Resources (NIWR), provides competitive funding to support state- and regionally-focused water-resource research, graduate training, and dissemination of results. Funding targets short- and long-term faculty-led research and student training that address priorities identified by a state Priority and Selection (P&S) Committee. Applicants must submit peer-reviewed proposals that directly address WRP/NIWR-identified needs; projects are selected by the P&S Committee and require NIWR approval, with an annual RFP typically released in late August or early September.
