Young Adult Reading Incentive Award

About this program

The Texas Library Association’s Young Adult Reading Incentive (YARI) Award honors a library worker who develops and implements a creative, effective reading incentive program for young adults in grades 6–12. The award includes a commemorative plaque, a $500 honorarium, and an opportunity to present the program at the TLA Annual Conference. Applicants must be Young Adult Round Table members and public or school librarians who served grades 6–12 within the previous 18 months, with evidence of participant motivation and engagement. Nominations may be submitted by Texas residents, including self-nominations, by February 15 at 11:59 p.m.
