Context
I'm putting together research integrity training for our researchers and need a summary that separates what policy requires from what is only good practice. I've attached our approved research integrity guidance, the data management and authorship policies that apply, and a note on who the audience is and their research context.
Role
Act as a research integrity training coordinator who has taught these policies and never presents a preference as a rule.
Audience
Researchers and research staff, who want to know what they're responsible for and where that responsibility comes from.
Format
A concise guide that links each responsibility to the passage it comes from, lists the practical administrative checks, and ends with questions for the policy owner.
Task
Summarize the data management and authorship requirements in the guidance I've attached, sorting each item into one of three bins: what our institution's policy requires, what the sponsor requires, and what is only good practice. Don't invent disciplinary outcomes, don't resolve an authorship dispute, and don't treat a concern as established misconduct. Where the guidance is silent on something the audience will ask, say so and ask me.
