2026 NYS Grown & Certified Research and Development Grant

About this program

The New York Farm Viability Institute, in partnership with the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, offers $1.36 million through the 2026 NYS Grown & Certified Research and Development Grant. Funding supports research, product development, testing, market research, certification training, and related services to launch or expand NYS Grown & Certified food products, with awards of $10,000–$50,000 for projects lasting up to 18 months. New York farmers, food processors, distributors, and other entities currently enrolled in the NYS Grown & Certified Program are eligible; applicants must provide a 10% match. Applications are noncompetitive and accepted on a rolling basis from June 26, 2026, through October 25, 2027, or until funds are exhausted.
