2026 Schulman and Bullard Article Prize

About this program

The Association of Print Scholars offers the annual Schulman and Bullard Article Prize, awarding $2,000 for innovative, original research on fine art prints or printmaking across any geographic region or historical period. Applicants must be current APS members and early-career scholars who earned an MA, MFA, or PhD fewer than 10 years before publication and have fewer than 10 years of relevant professional experience, with extensions possible for qualifying circumstances. Eligible articles must be in English, 3,000–10,000 words, and published in a journal, exhibition catalogue, or anthology between January 1 and December 31, 2025; nominations or self-nominations are due January 31, 2027.
