About this program
The Horses and Humans Research Foundation (HHRF) offers an Innovation Grant of up to $10,000 for pilot studies evaluating novel adapted grazing environments that promote equine welfare and ecosystem health through One Health and Five Domains principles. Projects may run for up to 18 months and must generate data validating innovative, feasible grazing-management approaches accessible to equine owners and professionals; awardees will collaborate with HHRF to develop a free interactive tool based on the findings. Applicants must submit a rigorous research proposal incorporating the Five Domains Model, use correct equine-assisted services terminology, and address impacts on equine welfare and the feasibility of implementation. Proposals are due December 4, 2026.
