AAA-George Krull EDGE in Teaching Award – Call for Nominations

About this program

The American Accounting Association's AAA-George Krull EDGE in Teaching Award recognizes and disseminates leading-edge teaching practices in junior- and senior-level accounting courses that increase student interest in accounting and encourage pursuit of the CPA profession, awarding recipients $5,000 (divided if multiple winners) to offset AAA Annual Meeting costs; one honorable mention may receive $500. Submissions must include lesson plans and teaching notes with learning objectives, course identification, detailed activity/case description, implementation timing, assessment rubric, educator bios, referenced AICPA Competency Framework alignment, and up to five attachments; an optional video (≤10 minutes, <1000 MB) may be provided via OneDrive. Any person or group may nominate (self-nominations encouraged), but nominees must be accounting educators teaching junior- or senior-level courses and at least one nominee must be an AAA member; teaching practices that are commercial products in which the faculty member has a financial interest are ineligible, and nomination letters must be received within two days after the deadline or the nomination will not be evaluated.
