AACR-AstraZeneca Fellowship for Physician-Scientists for Digital Pathology and AI Training

About this program

The American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), in partnership with AstraZeneca, offers a $200,000 fellowship over two years to support physician-scientists pursuing mentored research and training in digital pathology, artificial intelligence, and computational pathology. Fellows complete one year at an academic institution and one year with an AstraZeneca team, beginning December 1, 2026. Applicants must hold a qualifying medical degree, be enrolled in an accredited U.S. pathology residency or fellowship, have at least two years of protected research time and an eligible mentor, and be authorized to work in the United States. Applicants must also maintain AACR membership in good standing and submit applications by September 29, 2026.
