About this program

American Academy of Dermatology Association (AADA) offers the Development Advocacy Grant (State Advocacy Grant), awarding three grants of $20,000 each to state dermatology societies to support advocacy toward a single legislative or regulatory goal; the application period is June 30–Sept. 30. Eligible applicants must be state societies with an existing advocacy infrastructure, some prior advocacy experience, motivated leadership/membership, and a clear single legislative/regulatory objective that aligns with AADA state policy priorities; states that have received less than $40,000 or fewer than 10 awards qualify. Applicants must conduct advocacy consistent with their IRS tax status and applicable state rules, complete a yes/no capacity checklist in the application, and submit a final PDF report on project status and progress (failure to report may jeopardize future funding).
