AAFPRS Resident and Fellows in Training Research Grant

About this program

The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) Foundation offers the Leslie Bernstein Resident Research Grant to support innovative, scientifically valid research advancing facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Up to two grants of $5,000 may be awarded annually for projects completed within two years, with funds restricted to eligible direct research costs. Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian resident physicians in accredited otolaryngology–head and neck surgery programs or AAFPRS fellows-in-training, and must be AAFPRS members. Proposals require sponsorship and oversight from a department chair or AAFPRS mentor, institutional approval, required IRB/IACUC approvals, and submission of a letter of intent by December 15 and the full application by January 15.
