AANEM Best Abstract Award

About this program

The American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) presents the Best Abstract Award to the first and presenting author of the top abstract submitted to the AANEM Annual Meeting, recognizing outstanding original research in muscle and nerve disorders. The winner receives round‑trip coach airfare (up to $500 U.S./Canada or $1,000 international), up to three nights’ hotel, $500 cash, free meeting registration, recognition at the meeting, and publication of the abstract in Muscle & Nerve; a runner‑up receives $250, free registration, recognition, and publication. Eligible work includes original research on therapeutics, diagnosis, management, or basic science related to muscle and nerve disorders, and the awardee must be the first author, designated abstract presenter, and present at the Annual Meeting. Abstracts submitted between January 1 and March 15 are automatically considered unless authors opt out on the submission form; selection emphasizes scientific merit, quality of writing and discussion, and relevance to AANEM members (contact: meeting@aanem.org).
