AAOA Foundation Research Award

About this program

The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation offers annual Research Awards to support studies addressing the pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of otolaryngic allergy, with a primary allergy endpoint or substantial relevance to the AAOA. Awards provide up to $10,000 in direct costs for one year and are non-renewable; applications are due June 1 or December 1. Residents and medical students are encouraged to apply, but the principal investigator or key personnel must be current AAOA members in good standing or active membership candidates. Applications must include an abstract, four-page research plan, references, detailed budget and justification, and awardees must present results at an AAOA scientific meeting and submit a manuscript to the International Forum of Allergy & Rhinology.
