AAOA Foundation Research Award

About this program

The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation offers annual Research Awards to support one-year studies addressing the pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of otolaryngic allergy, with a primary allergy endpoint or substantial relevance to the AAOA. Multiple projects may receive up to $10,000 in direct costs, with no indirect costs permitted. Residents and medical students are encouraged to apply, but the principal investigator or key personnel must be current AAOA members in good standing or active membership candidates. Applications require an abstract, four-page research plan, references, and detailed budget, with submission deadlines of June 1 and December 1; awardees must present results at an AAOA scientific meeting and submit a manuscript to the International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology.
