AAOA Foundation Research Award

About this program

The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation offers annual Research Awards to advance understanding of otolaryngic allergy, including its pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. Awards provide up to $10,000 in direct costs for one year of non-renewable support, with approximately two to eight projects funded annually. Residents and medical students are encouraged to apply, but the principal investigator or key personnel must be current AAOA members in good standing or apply for membership. Applications must include an abstract, four-page research plan, references, and detailed budget, and funded investigators must present results at an AAOA scientific meeting and submit a manuscript to the International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology.
