AAPS Distinguished Service Award

About this program

American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) presents the AAPS Distinguished Service Award to honor a member’s lifetime of inclusive, collaborative volunteer leadership in support of AAPS’s mission; the recipient receives a plaque, complimentary PharmSci 360 registration, up to two nights’ hotel, and flight reimbursement (up to $500 domestic/$1,000 international). Ideal candidates have demonstrated sustained, enterprise-level service across AAPS (e.g., committee or Board leadership, program development, membership growth, policy contributions) and must be willing to promote volunteering as a public representative of AAPS. Eligibility requires current AAPS membership (including emeritus), at least five consecutive years of membership, and a nomination packet including CV/resumé, service-focused biography and contributions list, recent photo, 2–3 endorsement letters, and a nominator statement; self, peer, or committee nominations are accepted. Recipient must attend PharmSci 360 to accept the award and comply with AAPS travel policies; the Awards Committee may withhold the award if no candidate meets the selection standards.
