AAR Undergraduate Student Research Grant

About this program

The American Academy of Religion (AAR) offers the Undergraduate Student Research Grant to support undergraduate students conducting research on religion under the supervision of a faculty member who is a current AAR member. The grant provides up to $5,000 for eligible expenses, including research materials, travel, and AAR meeting fees, and includes a one-year AAR student membership. Applicants must be undergraduate students enrolled at an institution for at least four months during the grant year, with applications submitted by their supervising faculty member, who must be a current AAR member. The application requires a research plan, budget, and supervisory support statements, and recipients must submit a report by January 31 of the following year.
