AARC Advanced RT Fund

About this program

The American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) offers the Advanced RT Fund, providing seed grants of up to $30,000 to colleges, universities, and AARC chartered affiliates developing Advanced Practice Respiratory Therapist (APRT) curricula or state licensure initiatives. Eligible expenses may include faculty release time, curriculum consultants, lobbyist services, and legislative or regulatory workgroups; indirect costs are not covered. Applicants must submit a letter of intent by September 1, 2026, and, if invited, a full proposal with a detailed plan, budget, timeline, needs assessment, and relevant institutional, affiliate, legislative, or licensing support. Colleges and universities must be accredited and able to award a master’s degree or higher, while chartered affiliates must demonstrate university collaboration and support for licensure advocacy.
