AAS Research Grant

About this program

The Australian Acoustical Society (AAS) Research Grant program funds timely projects that advance the Society’s objectives, prioritising windfarm noise assessment; underwater noise monitoring and detection; environmental noise modelling and assessment; sleep disturbance assessment; and road traffic noise assessment, with individual grants up to $50,000 per year and a total pool of up to $100,000 over three years. Applications are competitive and assessed on alignment with AAS priority areas, value for money, a clear execution plan and deliverables, and appropriate management/oversight. Applicants must be AAS members (membership number required), submit a PDF application via the AAS Research Grant Application Portal by 5pm AEST on 31 July preceding the fiscal year (late submissions may be deferred), provide matching support (cash or in‑kind), report at predetermined stages, and may not claim indirect/overhead costs from the AAS.
