AASP Research Grants

About this program

The Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) offers annual seed grants of $250–$5,000 for one-year research projects integrating research and practice in sport and performance psychology, counseling, and related fields. Priority is given to students and early-career professionals, with awards supporting eligible project expenses such as equipment, materials, participant incentives, and hourly assistance. Applicants must have been continuous AASP members for at least three years; students may apply with an eligible advisor as co-author, provided the project is clearly identified as the student’s. Proposals are due April 1 and must include research aims, methodology, budget, curriculum vitae, informed consent materials, and evidence of or pending institutional review board approval.
