AATS Meeting Travel Awards

About this program

The American Association for Thoracic Surgery (AATS) offers Meeting Travel Awards to provide stipends offsetting the cost of attending an AATS meeting, with additional consideration for surgeons at under-resourced centers and those serving underserved heart valve disease populations. Funding is available worldwide to North American residents, fellows, and medical students, and to international residents, fellows, early-career surgeons, and mid-career surgeons across specialties. Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae detailing surgical experience and a one-page narrative describing the award’s impact on training and patient care; applications are due December 1, 2026.
