AAUW Harrisburg Branch’s Funds Committee raises proceeds through local fundraising and donates them to the AAUW Educational Opportunity Fund by presenting honoree awards, with a $500 contribution made in each Named Gift Honoree’s name; award categories include Named Gift Honorees, Community Woman of the Year, Gateway to Equity Award, Outstanding Branch Member, and Member Making a Difference. The awards recognize leadership, service, and efforts to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, research, philanthropy, and community engagement.
