AAUW Selected Professions Fellowship Program

About this program

AAUW’s Selected Professions Fellowship Program funds women pursuing their first full-time master’s or professional degree at accredited institutions in fields with historically low female participation, especially in STEM and medicine. Eligible discipline areas include science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine; applicants uncertain about STEM classification should consult the DHS STEM Designated Degree Program List, which AAUW uses for both U.S. and international students. Applicants must be women entering their first full-time graduate or professional program and must meet AAUW’s full-time enrollment, application (portal opens Jan 5, 2027; closes Feb 18, 2027), stipend disbursement, and reporting requirements.
