About this program

The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) offers the State Public Policy Grant Program to fund extraordinary state-level public policy initiatives that advance ACEP national priorities, providing $6,250 per chapter award with annual program allocations capped at $50,000 (maximum eight grants) and individual grants limited to one‑fourth of the program budget. Grants are intended for efforts that exceed routine advocacy and may also support exceptional multi‑chapter projects identified by the ACEP Board. Eligible applicants are ACEP chapters (not PACs); chapters must submit a written application with a detailed budget, strategy, stakeholders, and provide a dollar‑for‑dollar cash match or substantial in‑kind contributions; funds may not pay lobbyists, certain personnel, hardware, or travel. Awards are reviewed on a first‑come, first‑served basis each fiscal year and require semiannual progress updates and a final report and presentation, with renewal only if prior progress is demonstrated.
