ACF Community Grants

About this program

The Alamance Community Foundation awards competitive Community Grants each spring and fall to nonprofit organizations and qualified governmental agencies whose work directly benefits Alamance County, funding program-specific initiatives or general operating needs with awards typically between $1,000 and $5,000. Application windows are Feb 1–Mar 15 (spring) and Aug 1–Sep 15 (fall); recipients are selected by a committee and approved by the ACF board, with notifications in the second week of May and November. Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) public charities or qualified governmental agencies (outside organizations may apply only for work that directly impacts Alamance County); the foundation does not fund individuals, political organizations, for-profit entities, capital campaigns, programming to promote religious doctrine, debt retirement, event sponsorships, or endowments. Organizations may apply twice per calendar year but may receive funding only once annually; inquiries may be sent to Emily McCollum at emily@alamancecommunityfoundation.org.
