ACLS Digital Justice Grants

About this program

The Mellon Foundation, through the ACLS Digital Justice Grants, supports digital projects in the humanities and interpretative social sciences that promote racial and social justice, equity, and the ethical use of digital tools. The program offers two types of grants: Seed Grants for early-stage projects and Development Grants for more advanced initiatives, with awards up to $50,000. Eligible applicants include scholars whose projects critically engage with the interests and histories of people of color and other marginalized communities, utilizing digital methods to address inequities in access to digital resources. Projects must demonstrate ethical use of digital tools and contribute to public understanding of justice issues.
