ACNP Career-Spanning Mentorship Award (2026)

About this program

The American College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ACNP) offers a pilot Career‑Spanning Mentorship Award that provides $2,000 to each mentor and mentee plus a $100 meal voucher (total $4,100 per team) to support a three‑year mentor–mentee relationship and enable an in‑person meeting at the ACNP Annual Meeting. The award is intended to fund sustained mentorship across three annual meetings and offset attendance costs; it cannot be held concurrently with another travel award. Eligibility requires the mentor to be an ACNP Fellow or Fellow Emeritus (mentors may sponsor only one application) and the mentee to be an ACNP Associate Member or non‑member who meets either the Junior (≤5 years post‑terminal, with a possible 1‑year extension for qualifying life events) or Senior (Assistant Professor equivalent, ≤7 years post‑terminal, and without an R01 or similar large independent grant) criteria. Teams must be new (not existing or reconstituted), every team member must already be registered and commit to attend the full annual meeting in person for the three years, and mentors must submit a letter confirming the mentorship plan and multi‑year attendance commitment; noncompliance can result in withheld payment or termination.
