ACS Student Communities Starter Grant

The American Chemical Society (ACS) offers the Student Communities Starter Grant, providing up to $350 to support the creation or reactivation of ACS Student Chapters, International Student Chapters, or Graduate Student Organizations (GSO). This grant is designed for undergraduate and graduate institutions aiming to establish or revive a student community after five years of inactivity, with funds allocated for chartering and ACS student memberships. Eligibility requires institutions to have no active ACS student community in the past five years, identify a faculty advisor who is a current ACS member, and submit a proposed budget, timeline, and institutional student club policy. Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis in the Spring and Fall, with recipients still needing to complete the ACS charter application process.
