ACVD/AAVD Research Award

About this program

The American College of Veterinary Dermatology (ACVD) and American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology (AAVD) offer multiple awards and funding: the ACVD/AAVD Research Award provides grants for basic or clinical veterinary dermatology research (total funding up to $60,000 in 2026), while the AAVD Student Award, Frank Král Award, and Technician Scholarships recognize student excellence, distinguished service, and support technician attendance at NAVDF, respectively. Research award applicants must submit an electronic Microsoft Word proposal to the ACVD Executive Secretary by November 1, 2026, and any unexpended funds must be returned at project end. Student Award nominations are solicited January–March annually to honor a senior excelling in Clinical Dermatology. The Frank Král Award is limited to current AAVD members, and Technician Scholarships are available only to AAVD Technician Members with applications due March 1.
