Admission Innovation Project

About this program

AccessLex Institute’s Admission Innovation Project supports law schools implementing and evaluating novel approaches to selecting first-year students, particularly strategies that deemphasize standardized tests such as the LSAT or GRE. Selected schools will collaborate with AccessLex researchers to design rigorous studies of effects on entering-class composition and student outcomes, with funding and other support determined during study development. Eligible applicants must be law schools submitting a letter of inquiry that describes an approach focused in part on identifying and admitting deserving applicants with lower standardized-test performance. Projects may run for up to 24 months; up to three schools will be supported, with LOIs reviewed on a rolling basis until slots are filled.
