About this program

The Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County (AHCMC) offers FY27 Advancement Grants of $10,000–$100,000 to support capacity-building projects that strengthen fiscal stability and long-term viability, including strategic planning, capital planning, emergency preparedness, technology improvements, and DEIA initiatives. Funded activities must occur in Montgomery County between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027; applications are due March 20, 2026. Eligible applicants are Montgomery County-based 501(c)(3) arts or humanities nonprofits with balanced budgets, at least $50,000 in annual cash revenue and expenses for each of the past three completed fiscal years, and at least 51% of programs serving Montgomery County. Organizations must also meet board, staffing, financial, and reporting requirements; audits or financial reviews are required for requests over specified thresholds.
