AEG Advocacy Award

About this program

The Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists (AEG) offers the annual Advocacy Award to recognize individuals or groups whose outreach advances public awareness of the value of geological practice. The award includes an engraved plaque, a small honorarium, and recognition at the AEG Annual Meeting. Nominees may be recognized for advocacy through media, social media, legislative engagement, educational or governmental organizations, or other relevant efforts, with most activities completed within the past three years. Self-nominations are encouraged; submissions are due March 15 and must include contact and affiliation information plus a description of efforts and outcomes limited to 300 words.
